Jane Hollis is our Children and Youth Services Team Leader and has been in the post since August 2016. Jane facilitates child/youth referrals and oversees the children’s counsellors and facilitators. Jane liaises with Oranga Tamariki, Ministry of Justice and MSD.  Email:

We are currently seeking a new Safety Services Team Leader.   This role involves co-ordinating the Safety Programme, Strengthening Safety Services and counselling service for women.   It also involves liaising with with MSD MOJ and other agencies within our area.  Email:  If you are interested in this role please email

Gayathri Vasanth joined us in March 2019 as the Non-Violence Team Leader, taking referrals for the men’s group and individual Non-Violence programme, counselling for men and liaising with Ministry of Justice and Department of Corrections. Email:


Fiona Bickerton is employed as the Services Administrator and is responsible for administration duties in support of the Team Leaders above.  Fi ensures that the APS database is always up to date with client data and that our reporting to the MSD, MOJ and Department of Corrections is prepared accurately and professionally.


Sally SmithChairperson – is responsible for providing overall leadership to the Board and support to the Agency Manager.


Our remaining 5 board members provide the following; clinical expertise, Human Resources and Police representation. All our Board members are volunteers.


All the above staff work on a part-time basis. They oversee around 30 Programme Facilitators, Counsellors and child-care workers who provide the above services.
